In the West Bengal elections, Yogi Adityanath held rallies in Pingla, Joypur and Garhbeta and accused the TMC government of appeasement, corruption and mafia rule. He appealed to vote in favor of BJP.

West Medinipur/Purulia. During the West Bengal elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held several public meetings in support of BJP candidates in the scorching heat on Monday. In these rallies organized in Pingla, Joypur and Garhbeta assembly constituencies, he made a scathing attack on the state government.

He said that the youth in Bengal are upset, farmers are frustrated and industries are closing, but Mamata Banerjee’s government is only engaged in appeasement politics.

Accusations on TMC government: Mafia rule and politics of appeasement

CM Yogi alleged that sand, coal, land and cattle mafia are active in Bengal and are causing harm to the state. He said that instead of taking action against them, the government is only bothered by the slogans of “Jai Shri Ram”. He also said that religious events like Durga Puja and idol immersion are banned and at times processions are pelted with stones. Taking a dig at the slogan of “Khela Hobe” he said that now TMC’s game is about to end. Huge crowds gathered at public meetings to see and hear the Chief Minister.

Yogi’s address in Pingla: Focus on SC-ST and tribal society

Yogi Adityanath in Pingla said the area is known for “saffron soil” and has a spiritual identity. He said that the fertile land of Bengal feeds the country and the traditions here strengthen the tribal culture. Referring to Droupadi Murmu, he said that for the first time a tribal woman has become the President of the country. CM Yogi accused Congress, TMC and Indi alliance of ruling for decades but did no concrete work for the development of Scheduled Castes and Tribes. He also accused him of insulting BR Ambedkar.

Public anger over corruption and misconduct

The Chief Minister said that the attitude of the opposition parties was not respectful even towards the President. He also criticized the opposition regarding the Nari Shakti Vandan Act and said that these parties insult women, farmers, youth and the poor. He claimed that the public will no longer accept a government that is corrupt and engaged in malpractices.

Mention of historical heritage and national heroes of Bengal

Yogi Adityanath recalled the historical role of Bengal and mentioned great personalities like Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Swami Vivekananda, Subhas Chandra Bose and Syama Prasad Mukherjee. He said that this land has been spiritually and culturally rich and it is necessary to free it from anarchy.

Question on the economic condition of Bengal

CM Yogi said that Bengal, which was once called the “Golden Land”, has lagged behind today because of Congress, Left parties and TMC. He claimed that in the last 15 years, more than 7000 large industries and more than 18,000 MSME units have been closed, leaving more than 30 lakh people unemployed. Farmers are not getting the right price for their produce.

Referring to Uttar Pradesh model: Emphasis on development and law and order

Yogi Adityanath said that before 2017, the situation in Uttar Pradesh was similar, but now the law and order situation there has improved. He told that the poor in UP are getting ration, housing, pension, gas connection under Ujjwala scheme and health facilities under Ayushman Bharat. He claimed that UP is now moving ahead in terms of expressway, airport and employment and the model of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” is implemented there.

TMC accused of border security and smuggling

CM Yogi said that the TMC government is obstructing the fencing on the Bangladesh border and is not able to stop smuggling and mafia activities due to appeasement. He alleged that anarchy and hooliganism have increased in the state in the last 15 years and a “double engine” government of BJP is necessary to end it.

Appeal for cultural identity and development in Joypur

In Joypur (Purulia) he mentioned the local culture like Chhau dance and the art of the potter community. He said that it is necessary to vote for BJP to bring Bengal on the path of development, so that the benefits of the Central Government schemes can reach the people in the right way.

Huge crowd gathered in Garbeta also, slogans of ‘Yogi-Yogi’

A large number of people also reached Yogi Adityanath’s rally in Garbeta. He appealed to vote in support of the BJP candidate and called upon the people to free Bengal from anarchy. During the public meeting, slogans of “Yogi-Yogi” kept echoing all around and people were seen standing on rooftops and vehicles to see him.
