Mumbai (Maharashtra) [भारत]July 27 (ANI): After promoting his much-awaited film ‘Ramayan’ at San Diego Comic-Con, actor Ranbir Kapoor returned to his hometown Mumbai on Monday morning. His cool style was seen at the airport. Photographers took pictures of him as he left the premises.
Ranbir was seen wearing a navy blue T-shirt and comfortable trousers. He completed his look with his signature beret cap. Directed by Nitish Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Founder of Prime Focus and Global CEO of Academy Award-winning visual effects studio DNEG, ‘Ramayana’ has been one of the most talked-about Indian film projects ever since its announcement.
The film, to be made in two parts, is inspired by the ancient epic Ramayana. It depicts the life of Rama, considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, from his life as the prince of Ayodhya, from his exile to his fight against Ravana.
Strong star cast of the film
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Laxman. Recently, the makers organized a grand event in Delhi, where the entire cast was present.
Ranbir paid tribute to Arun Govil
At the event, Ranbir paid an emotional tribute to veteran actor Arun Govil, who immortalized the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic television series. Interestingly, Arun Govil will be seen playing the role of King Dasharatha in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’.
Ranbir said, “Arun ji, you have carried out this responsibility with such beauty, truth and dignity for so many years. Your journey has inspired not only an actor like me, but everyone who has watched Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’. You have given people faith and inspiration. If I can achieve even a fraction of the way you have allowed Lord Shri Ram to be absorbed within you, then I will feel that all my hard work has been successful.”
Music and release date
The music of the film is composed by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. The first part of ‘Ramayana’ is scheduled to release in theaters in Diwali 2026, while the second part is expected to release in Diwali 2027. (ANI)
