Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai listened to the 135th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at the Chief Minister’s residence. During this, the Prime Minister’s messages regarding environmental protection, water conservation, social security, innovation and public participation were discussed in detail.

In Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai listened to the 135th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ along with public representatives and citizens at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has today become an effective medium of communication between the public and the leadership, which is strengthening the spirit of positive change and public participation across the country.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi brings to the fore innovations, social initiatives and inspirational efforts from across the country in every episode. This not only gives recognition to good works, but also inspires other people in the society to make such efforts. He said that mention of achievements and innovations of Chhattisgarh in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is a matter of pride for the entire state.

The Chief Minister said that this time on the occasion of the upcoming Ganeshotsav, the Prime Minister gave the message of using Ganesha idols made of clay and appealed for environmental protection. He also underlined the importance of social security through Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. He also called for making rain water conservation a mass movement and saving every drop.

The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister described the living root bridge of Meghalaya as an excellent example of coordination between nature and man. Apart from this, efforts like conservation of rare birds through ‘Hargila Army’ by the women of Assam, initiative to promote sports culture in Nagaland, efforts by Nalanda University and Central Sanskrit University to connect Indian knowledge tradition with modern technology were also appreciated.

He also said that the initiative by the women of Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh to make public places attractive with plastic waste is a great example of cleanliness and innovation.
