Pakistan Cricket Board often takes such decisions which cause chaos. There are reports that a decision of PCB has made Pakistan’s domestic teams so angry that they can boycott the domestic tournament itself. According to Telecom Asia report, PCB is facing internal rebellion. According to reports, Pakistan Cricket Board has increased the entry fee for the first class cricket tournament by 3 times. Earlier this fee was 50 lakh Pakistani dollars but now it has increased to 1.5 crore Pakistani rupees.
Pakistan’s domestic teams unhappy
Pakistan The domestic teams did not welcome this decision, believing that the sudden increase of 200 percent was too much for them. Therefore, seven out of eight departmental teams have warned the PCB that they will withdraw from the tournament if the PCB does not reconsider the entry fees. A team official told Telecom Asia Sport, ‘Officials of the 7 teams have discussed several times and have unanimously agreed that this increase will not be accepted. We will not participate in the tournament.
PCB also asked to pay match fees
There are reports that PCB has instructed Pakistan’s domestic teams to pay match fees to their players themselves. Earlier the team owners used to pay the salaries of the players and the PCB used to pay the match fees. Now they have been asked to give both things to the players. In protest against this decision, a team official said, ‘We already spend lakhs of rupees every year on the salaries of the players. Adding match fees will further increase the financial pressure and our management will not approve it. Now it remains to be seen whether the PCB withdraws its decision or not.
