Mahindra has increased the prices of Thar Rocks and Scorpio Classic. Thar has become costlier by Rs 78,000 and Scorpio Classic by Rs 40,000. This increase has been made due to increasing production costs.

The company has increased the prices of its two powerful vehicles – Thar Rocks and Scorpio Classic. Mahindra had already announced that from July, the prices of passenger vehicles will be increased by 2.7% and that of commercial vehicles by 2%. Under this, now the new prices of different variants of these two SUVs have come into effect. This increase has been made on the basis of engine, gearbox and drivetrain. The biggest impact has been on the top variants of Thar Rocks, whose price has increased by Rs 78,000.
Thar Rocks becomes costlier by Rs 78,000
The five-door lifestyle SUV Mahindra Thar Rocks is very much liked in the Indian market due to its off-road prowess and strong looks. Now the company has changed the prices of all its variants. The prices of petrol models have been increased from Rs 12,500 to Rs 59,000. The lowest increase is in the MX1 manual two-wheel drive variant, while the highest increase is in the Star Edition automatic two-wheel drive model. Whereas, if we talk about diesel variants, the prices have increased from Rs 22,500 to Rs 78,000. The lowest increase is for the MX5 manual two-wheel drive, while the top variants like the AX7 L two-wheel drive and AX7 L two-wheel drive Mocha interior have become the most expensive.
Scorpio Classic prices also increased
The prices of Mahindra Scorpio Classic SUV have also increased. The demand for this SUV, which is sold in the market along with Scorpio-N, is strong even today, especially in rural areas. The price of its S manual 7-seater variant has been increased by Rs 37,000. Now you will have to pay Rs 39,000 more for the S manual 9-seater variant. S11 Manual 7-Seater and S11 Manual 7-Seater C.C. The prices of the variants have been increased by Rs 40,000-40,000. After the new prices, the ex-showroom price of Scorpio Classic now starts from Rs 13.37 lakh to Rs 17.40 lakh.
Scorpio-N facelift will also come soon
Along with the price increase, the market is also waiting for the next big launch of Mahindra. According to reports, the company is going to launch the facelift model of Scorpio-N soon. This vehicle has been seen several times during testing. It is expected that this facelift version will come in the market with a new front look, more premium interior and new tech features.
The main reason behind increasing the prices of vehicles is said to be the increase in the cost of raw materials and production expenses. Therefore, it cannot be denied that the prices of other models of the company may also increase in the coming months.
