Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the problems of the people in the Janata Darbar. He gave strict instructions to the officials that the complaints should be resolved in a timely manner with sensitivity and transparency. CM said that delay will not be tolerated.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday heard the complaints and problems of people from different parts of the state at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in the Chief Minister’s Camp Office.

According to the release, the Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure that every public grievance is resolved with sensitivity, transparency and within a stipulated time-frame, so that citizens do not have to make repeated visits to government offices.

CM Dhami said that the state government is committed to public welfare and good governance. He said that prompt resolution of public grievances is one of the top priorities of the government.

Lesson of accountability to officials

He emphasized that accountability of administration is meaningful only when the issues of citizens are resolved efficiently and within stipulated time.

He directed the officers to investigate every complaint thoroughly, take appropriate action as per rules and keep the complainants informed about the progress of their case.

The Chief Minister said that it is the responsibility of the government to fulfill the expectations of the people of Uttarakhand. He urged the officers to work in the spirit of public service and maintain sensitivity and accountability in resolving public issues.

He also made it clear that unnecessary delay in resolving citizens’ complaints will not be tolerated.

Emphasis on strengthening the grievance redressal system

During the conversation, CM Dhami directed Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swaroop and Garhwal Inspector General Rajiv Swaroop to ensure disposal of the complaints received on priority basis.

According to the release, CM Dhami directed that cases which can be resolved at the district or departmental level should be addressed immediately, while cases requiring higher level intervention should be referred to the concerned departments without any delay for necessary action.

He also directed the officers to strengthen the public grievance redressal system and make it more effective and result oriented, so that every citizen can get timely relief and justice.
