Noida Airport: Noida International Airport will start from June 15, Indigo flights will start

The first flight of Indigo will take off from June 15.

Noida Airport: A new chapter of air connectivity is going to start for Delhi-NCR and North India. Noida International Airport (NIA) has officially announced that commercial flight services will start from June 15, 2026. The first commercial flight from this airport will be operated by Indigo. After this, Akasa Air and Air India Express will also start their services.

Noida International Airport has recently received Aerodrome Security Program (ASP) approval from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). This approval confirms that all security standards and operating procedures of the airport are in line with international standards.

Will be able to handle 1.2 crore passengers

Talking about capacity, in the initial phase this airport will be able to handle 1.2 crore passengers annually. A plan has been prepared to expand it to 7 crore passengers in a phased manner in the future. The special thing is that this airport has been developed with sustainable design and is committed to the goal of net zero emissions.

Noida International Airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG. This project is being implemented under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Government of India.

Noida Airport is equipped with modern facilities

This airport located in Jewar will be equipped with modern terminal facilities and excellent multimodal connectivity. With its launch, the pressure on the existing air traffic of Delhi-NCR will be reduced and passengers will get better options. Experts believe that the opening of this airport will boost economic activities in Western Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, new opportunities for tourism, trade and investment will also open, which will give impetus to the overall development of the region.
