Weather Forecast Today: Due to the effect of monsoon, the weather will remain changeable in most parts of Bihar and Jharkhand on July 25, 2026. There are chances of light to moderate rain in some places, while in many districts the possibility of rain with thunder and lightning has been predicted. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, cloud movement will continue in both the states. However, the effect of heat and humidity will also be felt in some districts of Western Bihar, where the maximum temperature can reach 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.

Chances of light and moderate rain at some places in Bihar

In many districts of Bihar including Patna, Gaya, Bodh Gaya, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Banka, Purnia, Araria, Katihar region, Madhubani, Supaul, Chhapra, Nalanda, Rajgir, Sheikhpura, Nawada and Jamui, there is a possibility of one or two rounds of rain or thundershowers with cloudy sky throughout the day. In these, warning of lightning has also been given in Bhagalpur, Gaya, Bodh Gaya, Patna and Purnia. Whereas districts like Arrah, Buxar, Sasaram, Biharsharif, Darbhanga and Hajipur will remain generally cloudy and there will be a possibility of light rain or thundershowers, but no special warning has been issued for these districts.

There will be difference in temperature, West Bihar will be hotter

The maximum temperature in Bihar on July 25 is expected to be between 32 to 36 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Arrah, Buxar, Darbhanga, Biharsharif, Hajipur and Sasaram may reach 35 to 36 degrees, while in Gaya, Patna, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Banka, Purnia and Araria the maximum temperature will be around 32 to 33 degrees. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 24 to 30 degrees in most districts.

Rain and lightning alert in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, many districts including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Deoghar, Vaidyanathdham, Dumka, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Lohardaga, Chaibasa and Daltonganj are likely to experience moderate rain, thundershowers and strong wind with a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. For Deoghar, Vaidyanathdham, Bokaro and Ranchi, special caution has been advised regarding strong wind along with lightning. Dhanbad, Koderma, Ramgarh, Garhwa, Sahebganj, Gumla and Simdega will also remain cloudy and light to moderate rain and thundershowers may continue. The maximum temperature in Jharkhand is generally expected to be between 29 to 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum is expected to be between 22 to 27 degrees Celsius.

How will the weather be in the next 5 days?

There are indications of monsoon being active in most of the districts of Bihar and Jharkhand from 26 to 30 July. There will be a possibility of intermittent rain, thunder and lightning at many places in Araria, Banka, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Patna, Purnia, Gaya, Jamui, Madhubani, Supaul and surrounding districts of Bihar. Whereas in the districts of Western Bihar, the temperature may remain between 34 to 37 degrees with light rain.

There will be clouds in Jharkhand also for the next five days. Intermittent rain will continue in many districts including Ranchi, Bokaro, Deoghar, Giridih, Dumka, Jamshedpur, Lohardaga and Hazaribagh. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Deoghar, Vaidyanathdham, Bokaro and Giridih around July 27. Overall, people in both the states will get some respite from the heat, but it will be necessary to be careful during thunderstorms and lightning.
