Bihar Jharkhand Weather Update: Monsoon is now fully active and the effect of rain will be clearly visible in most parts of Jharkhand and Bihar on 20 July 2026. There is a possibility of cloudy sky throughout the day, light to moderate rain and rain with thunder in many districts. Warning of heavy rain and lightning continues in some areas. There will also be a drop in temperature, due to which people are expected to get relief from humidity. How will the weather be in Bihar on 20th July?
The sky will be covered with clouds in most of the districts of Bihar. There are chances of moderate rain and thundershowers around Arrah, Buxar, Samastipur and Sasaram. The maximum temperature in these areas is likely to be between 30 to 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum between 26 to 27 degrees. There is a possibility of lightning along with one or two rounds of rain in Patna, Gaya, Begusarai, Muzaffarpur and Nawada. The maximum temperature will be around 31 to 32 degrees Celsius. Whereas the impact of rain is likely to be more in Araria, Madhubani, Nalanda and Rajgir. Heavy rain has been indicated in Nalanda and Rajgir, so people are advised to remain alert.

Alert of strong wind and lightning along with rain in Jharkhand
The weather will be pleasant but cautious in most of the districts of Jharkhand on July 20. Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Chaibasa, Daltonganj, Deoghar, Dumka, Giridih and Bano-Simdega will remain cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorm, strong wind (40–50 kmph) and rain at many places. The temperature can range between 30 to 33 degrees Celsius. Dhanbad, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh and Gumla will also remain cloudy with moderate rain. The maximum temperature is likely to be between 28 to 31 degrees Celsius, which will provide relief from the heat.

The rainy season will continue in the coming days also
Even after July 20, there are indications that monsoon will remain active in both the states till July 21 and 22. It will be cloudy in many districts, it will rain intermittently and at some places there may be heavy rain accompanied by thunder. The temperature is likely to be slightly below normal, due to which the weather will remain relatively pleasant.
