Rajat, a resident of Gram Panchayat Amlela of Jawali sub-division of Kangra district, and the girl from Vietnam met through social media. In the beginning there was normal conversation between the two, but with time this conversation turned into friendship and then both became very close to each other. Despite living thousands of kilometers apart, both remained in constant touch. Gradually both of them realized that they wanted to see their future together. After this they decided to get married and also informed their respective families about this relationship.

After getting the consent of the families, the Vietnamese girl reached India. The groom Rajat went to Delhi to pick up his future bride and from there both of them reached Himachal. After this, the marriage ceremony took place amidst Hindu traditions and Vedic chanting in the famous Shri Narasimha temple located in Fatehpur. Taking fire as a witness, both of them took seven rounds in the temple premises and promised to stay together for the rest of their lives.
