According to astrologers, the second solar eclipse of the year 2026 will take place on Wednesday, August 12. This day will be Amavasya Tithi of Shravan month. The festival of Hariyali Amavasya will be celebrated on this day. The occurrence of solar eclipse in the month of Shravan is very rare. Such a coincidence happens once in decades. Will this solar eclipse be visible in India?
The solar eclipse occurring on August 12 will not be visible anywhere in India. According to Indian time, this solar eclipse will start at around 9.04 pm and will last till around 1.27 pm. This total solar eclipse will be seen mainly in these countries – Greenland, Iceland, Spain and parts of Portugal. Apart from this, partial eclipse will be visible in many areas of Europe, North America and Western Africa.

According to religious beliefs, only the place where the eclipse is visible is considered to be Sutak.
