Bhuvanesh Arya, who works as a software architect in Wesco, shared his story on social media platform X. In which cities did you work before?
Bhuvnesh Arya told that he has a total professional experience of 15 years. Before coming to Bengaluru, he had worked in cities like Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi-NCR. He said that every city has its own specialty, but no other city had as much positive impact on his career as Bengaluru. He wrote, “I also worked in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi-NCR. All cities are good, but Bengaluru had the biggest impact on my career growth.”
Big growth in career and salary in 4 years
According to Arya, during the 4 years he spent in Bengaluru, he got many such opportunities which gave new heights to his professional life. He told that during this time he got better job opportunities, good increase in salary, strong networking with people in the industry and got a chance to meet many big tech leaders. Apart from this, he also received invitations to participate in many tech events, conferences and professional discussions. He wrote, “I have seen more growth in these four years than I have ever seen in my 15-year career. Better opportunities, good salary, strong networking, a chance to connect with industry leaders, and a life I love.”
Challenges of traffic and infrastructure were also acknowledged
Bhuvnesh Arya also admitted that traffic jams and infrastructure problems exist in Bengaluru. However, he believes that if we look beyond these problems, there are countless career opportunities in the city. “When you look beyond these challenges, you see a huge world of opportunities,” he said.
Regret why I didn’t come earlier
Arya told that he had got the opportunity to come to Bengaluru many times before, but due to personal reasons he gave up those opportunities. Now he feels that if he had come here earlier, perhaps his career growth would have been faster.
Explained your point by giving the example of a water bottle.
He gave a simple example to explain his idea. He wrote, “A bottle of water is available for Rs 10 at the railway station, the same bottle costs Rs 100 at the airport and Rs 500 in a five-star hotel. For me, Bengaluru is the place where my value increased the most.” He believes that a person’s success largely depends on the city in which he lives and works.

Bhuvnesh Arya ended his post by expressing his gratitude towards the city, calling Bengaluru the “Silicon Valley of India”.
