Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, “There was a meeting of the entire civil society. It was attended by about 170 representatives… and there were fruitful discussions. The meeting lasted for three hours. Everyone stressed that it was already too late to restore statehood; the central government should not delay any longer. They supported our plan to go to Jantar Mantar and a resolution was passed saying that statehood should be restored to Jammu and Kashmir soon.”
