CM Mohan Yadav Special Message Yoga Day 2026: Sunday, June 21 is International Yoga Day. On this special occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has written a blog and given a special message to the public. He has said that ‘Yoga is the real foundation of a healthy, conscious and developed India.’ Starting his message with a verse from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, the CM said, ‘The importance of Yoga in our Sanatan culture is centuries old, which holds the same importance even today.’ CM said that this time Yoga Day is going to be very historic for Madhya Pradesh. He also made a special appeal to the public. Come, let us know what important things the Chief Minister has shared regarding Yoga in his blog and what is going to be special in Madhya Pradesh this time…
‘Samatvam Yoga Uchyate’ means balance is yoga…
Starting his blog with this verse, CM wrote, ‘While this message of Lord Krishna in Srimad Bhagvad Gita is the formula to balance the entire world, Maharishi Patanjali has provided a way for human life to remain healthy and healthy through “Yogaschittavrittinirodha” in Patanjali Yoga Sutra. This Sanatan Yoga tradition of India is the basis for making the world balanced and prosperous at the level of body, mind and soul. The way of life developed by sages centuries ago is today the path to happiness, peace and balance for the entire world. It is a matter of pride for us that Yoga has become a medium for the welfare of world humanity. Due to the visionary leadership and tireless efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, June 21 was recognized as International Yoga Day by the United Nations General Assembly. This decision is a symbol of the world community’s respect for Indian culture and philosophy of life. Crores of people in more than 190 countries around the world have made yoga a part of their lives. This is a testament to India’s cultural consciousness and spiritual leadership. This year the theme of International Yoga Day has been kept as ‘Yoga for Healthy Age’. I am happy to inform that this year on International Yoga Day, President Smt. Draupadi Murmu ji will be present as the chief guest in the function organized in the holy land of Madhya Pradesh. His arrival is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh. It is a happy coincidence that Madhya Pradesh is getting an opportunity to play a special role in the global movement of Yoga.
‘Ghar-Ghar Yoga, Every Person Healthy’ campaign in Madhya Pradesh
CM further wrote, ‘It is a matter of happiness that the Madhya Pradesh government has made efforts on a large scale to take yoga to the masses. Healthy citizens are the foundation of a developed and prosperous nation. “Ghar-Ghar Yoga – Har Vyakti Nirog” campaign has been started for the healthy and happy life of every person in the state. Regular yoga activities are being conducted in more than 800 Ayushman Arogya temples, health and wellness centers and various hospitals in the state. Citizens are also being made to practice yoga in small groups by trained yoga teachers. Yoga-Sakhi and Yoga-Doot are spreading the message of Yoga to every village and city-neighborhood. The International Yoga Day event, which started in the state from May 12, is writing a new chapter of public participation with “Har Ghar Yoga Abhiyaan”. In this sequence, the people of the state are getting the benefits of online yoga sessions organized by the Ministry of AYUSH. It is a matter of pride for all of us that recently, in the Yoga Mahotsav organized at Malvanchal University, Indore, more than 35 thousand students performed yoga collectively and set a new world record. Yoga is a medium to put into practice the idea of ”One Earth-One Health” which connects us with ourselves, society and nature. Along with keeping the body healthy, it makes life balanced, meaningful and excellent.
Confluence of Yoga, Environment and Public Welfare
The Chief Minister wrote, ‘Madhya Pradesh government has also linked yoga with environment protection and public welfare. Special public campaigns are being conducted from World Environment Day to International Yoga Day. Work is being done on environment protection through “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign and health protection through yoga. There is a deep connection between nature and human health. Yoga inspires us to live a life of coexistence with nature. This is also the basic element of Indian philosophy of life. Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working to make Yoga a mass movement through AYUSH treatment, Yoga Wellness Centre, Arogya Mandir and public awareness programmes. Our effort is that every citizen of the state should benefit from yoga and take steps towards a healthy life.
Global Yoga Conference will be held in Madhya Pradesh in January 2027
CM said, ‘I am happy to inform that a global conference on the theme “One Earth, One Health and One Consciousness: Yoga for Holistic Well-being” is going to be organized in Madhya Pradesh in January 2027. In this, Madhya Pradesh will represent the civilizational consciousness of India globally. Today, when the world is facing stress, depression, lifestyle diseases and social challenges, Yoga is a great support for humanity. In this way, it is the basis of a healthy body, peaceful mind and happy life.
Yoga Day is not just an event, it is a resolution of life.
Dr. Mohan Yadav further wrote in his blog, ‘International Yoga Day is a resolution to build a healthy, conscious and self-reliant society. It is a celebration of the ancient consciousness of India, which has paved the way for human welfare for centuries. We are proud that today the whole world is adopting Yoga and getting the benefit of this invaluable knowledge of India. I urge all the citizens of the state, youth, women, senior citizens, students, government servants and social organizations to join yoga activities and make it a part of their daily routine. Let us all together make yoga an integral part of our lives. Connect your family and society with this and become a participant in building a healthy Madhya Pradesh, developed India and a prosperous world. Heartiest wishes to the people of the state on International Yoga Day…’
