India’s midsize SUV segment surged 68.24% in May 2026, led by Hyundai Creta. Maruti Victoris, Kia Seltos, Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder also posted strong sales performances.
Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta remained the best-selling midsize SUV in India with sales of 15,235 units in May 2026. The SUV secured a 21.51% market share and recorded 2.52% annual growth.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris
Maruti Suzuki Victoris emerged as the second best-selling midsize SUV with 10,853 units sold. It captured a 15.32% market share and made a strong impact in the segment.
Kia Seltos
Kia Seltos delivered an impressive performance with sales of 10,597 units. The SUV registered a massive 74.24% year-on-year growth, making it one of the biggest gainers.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
Grand Vitara recorded sales of 9,366 units in May 2026. The SUV posted a remarkable 80.22% annual growth and held a 13.22% share of the segment.
Toyota Hyryder
Toyota Hyryder secured fifth position with sales of 8,664 units. The midsize SUV witnessed 14.41% year-on-year growth and continued to attract hybrid SUV buyers.
Tata Sierra
Tata Sierra continued to strengthen its presence in the segment with sales of 6,606 units. The SUV achieved a market share of 9.33% during May 2026.
Tata Curvv
Tata Curvv and Curvv EV recorded combined sales of 1,680 units. However, the model witnessed a significant 45.15% decline compared to the same period last year.
MG ZS EV
MG ZS EV delivered one of the strongest performances in the segment. Sales reached 1,562 units, reflecting a huge 333.89% year-on-year growth.
Skoda Kushaq
Skoda Kushaq sold 1,310 units in May 2026. The SUV posted an impressive 103.42% annual growth, showing renewed demand among buyers.
