Peddi Vs Masters Of The Universe: Nikhil Siddhartha Who Voices He-Man In Telugu ‘Not Worried About Clash’ – EXCLUSIVE

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s sports action drama   is slated to release across theatres on June 4. However, the Buchi Babu Sana directorial is not the only film to hit theatres in the same week. A day later, Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will also enter the proscenium and so will Travis Knight’s  , based on the Mattel franchise for He-Man. The second live-action film adaptation after the 1987 film, it wll see Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/ He-Man after achieving wide fame for the 2023 romantic drama Red, While And Royal Blue as well as the 2024 The Idea of You. The Telugu version of Masters of the Universe will see He-Man being voiced by Karthikeya actor Nikhil Siddhartha (who, incidentally celebrates his birthday today, June 1), and we just had to ask, does he think the Peddi vs clash is as real as it gets?

In an exclusive interaction with Zoom, Nikhil however, had something completely different to say. “Peddi is releasing on June 4 and it stars Ram Charan, who is one of the biggest stars in the Telugu industry and will be a blockbuster.” Adding further that the  is releasing a day later on June 5, he said, “I am playing the voice role of He-Man actor Nicholas Galitzine, and I feel it is a very healthy thing, who ever does not get tickets for Peddi can come and watch our film.”

However, Nikhil has another reason he believes Masters of the Universe will make quite the mark on the box office. According to the actor, who will next be seen in Swayambhu, revealed he feels that because it is the last week of the summer holidays and the film definitely attract youngsters who will come dragging their parents till June 15, at least.

Speaking about playing the voice actor to   in the film, Nikhil added, “He is perfect for the role. When I was watching the English movie, I thought I just fell in love with his role. I was very much like the role I am playing in Swayambhu. The way Nicholas portrayed Prince Adam – he has a very good sense of humour. He can make you burst out laughing in the theatre and at the same time, he can also get you emotional and excited for the action sequences.”

Relating the role to his upcoming Swayambhi further, Nikhil added before signing off, “He has bulked up, he is beefy, but at the same time he’s so wonderful at heart and can crack a joke and make you laugh. The actor pulled it off and matching him was pretty easy becasue his is what I am doing in Swayambhu anyways.”

Masters of the Universe, which had its premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on May 18 will also star Camila Mendes, Jared Leto, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Kristen Wiig, Morena Baccarin, and Idris Elba. Meanwhile, Peddi will also see Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani and Divyenndu in pivotal roles.
