New Delhi [भारत]July 20 (ANI): Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Monday met a delegation of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which put forward three demands before the government. He appealed to the protesters to end their protest.
Nadda, leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha, said in a post on Twitter that for the first time this morning a proposal for talks with the government came from the protesters. He said the discussion started around 11:50 am and the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.

He further said, “First a detailed verbal discussion took place and at around 4 pm I was given a written petition. I requested all the protesters to end their protest and assist the administration in restoring normalcy.”
CJP put forward three major demands
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) chief spokesperson Saurav Das later said they put forward three demands before Nadda, including the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of NEET aspirants, “of whom more than 20 have lost their lives.”
Das and CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka met the Union Health Minister. He said activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is in hospital, “should be released immediately.”
Das said the protests would continue until Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. Das told ANI, “We met JP Nadda twice. During the meeting, we stated our three demands. First, Sonam Wangchuk should be released immediately… Second, we demand that Dharmendra Pradhan should resign; he should either be dismissed from the cabinet or he should resign voluntarily. The protests will continue till his resignation. Third, we demand compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of NEET aspirants, Out of which more than 20 have lost their lives, we reached out to JP Nadda with these demands.”
‘The protest will continue until the demands are met’
Das also explained about the demands in a post on X. He said that he was at Nadda’s residence for about four hours. “Demands including immediate resignation/dismissal of Dharmendra Pradhan have been conveyed,” he said.
Das said, “The minister assured us that he will discuss it at the appropriate level. However, no promises have been made yet. The peaceful protesters will not rest until their demands are met!” (ANI)
