MHT CET 2026 Final Merit List: A big update has come out for the candidates of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026. Maharashtra CET Cell is releasing the final merit list of MHT CET 2026 today on 27th July 2026. On the basis of this merit list, the process of BE and BTech admission will proceed in engineering colleges of the state. This rank is very important for the candidates, because on the basis of this, seat allotment will be done during CAP (Centralised Admission Process). Before preparing the final merit list, the CET cell had released the provisional merit list, on which objections and complaints were sought from the candidates. After scrutiny of the complaints and documents received, the final merit list has now been prepared. Candidates have been advised to check their details carefully, so that they do not face any problem during the admission process.
What information will be there in MHT CET 2026 Final Merit List?
The final merit list will include the important information of the candidate. In this, details like student’s name, category, application number, CET rank and percentile will be given. This final rank will become the basis for selecting colleges and branches in the upcoming CAP rounds. Seat allotment will not be based only on rank but will also take into account the candidate’s category, reservation rules, available seats and college preferences filled in the option form.

Candidates can check their final merit status through online portal. For this they have to follow these easy steps-
- First of all visit the official website of MHT CET CAP fe2026.mahacet.org.
- Click on the link of BE/BTech CAP 2026.
- Open the Final MHT CET 2026 Merit List Status link.
- Login by entering application number and date of birth.
- Check your final rank and merit status on the screen.
- Apart from this, candidates can download the released PDF merit list and search their name or application number in it.

When will the process of MHT CET 2026 CAP Round 1 start?
- After the release of the final merit list, candidates will get a chance to fill the college choice. The option form for CAP Round 1 can be submitted and confirmed online from July 28 to July 30, 2026.
- After this, the provisional seat allotment of CAP Round 1 will be released on 2 August 2026. Students who will get the seat will have to accept the seat between August 3 to August 5, 2026 and complete the admission process by reporting to the concerned institute.

How will the rank be decided in case of tie in MHT CET Merit List?
If two or more candidates have equal marks, CET Cell will decide the rank as per tie-breaking rules. First, the candidate with higher marks in Maths will get preference. After this the scores of Physics and Chemistry will be seen. If there is still a tie, then the rank will be determined on the basis of aggregate percentage of Physics, Maths and Chemistry, Maths marks, Physics marks and aggregate percentage in 12th board exam.

After the release of the final merit list of MHT CET 2026, candidates should check their rank, category and other information immediately. While filling the college choice, it would be better to keep in mind your rank, previous years cutoff and preferred branch, because CAP seat allotment will depend on this process.
