Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released the 37th installment of Ladli Brahmin Yojana in a program organized in Sagar district and transferred the amount to the bank accounts of more than 1.25 crore women of the state. He said that women have shown courage, sacrifice and dedication in every period of Indian history. Addressing the large number of women present at the venue, the Chief Minister said that his enthusiasm had increased manifold after seeing such a large presence of the sisters.

On this occasion, he visited the development exhibition of various departments and also inaugurated the ‘Ladli Brahmin Sports Week’ to be organized till 21st June International Yoga Day. Besides, various development works costing more than Rs 190 crore were inaugurated and bhoomi pujan performed in Sagar district. Scooties were also distributed to girl students who scored more than 75 percent marks in board examinations.

He said that earlier poor families used to dream of owning their own house, but Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana provided houses to lakhs of families. Understanding the problems of mothers and sisters, the Central Government provided facilities like toilets, Ujjwala gas connections, free ration and housing. The Chief Minister said that all this is the result of Prime Minister Modi’s sensitive thinking towards the poor.

The Chief Minister said that when Ladli Behna Yojana was started, the opposition had raised many questions regarding resources for it. But today this scheme has successfully entered its third year. He said that Rakshabandhan comes once a year, but the state government keeps its promise made to the sisters every month before the 15th. Whatever the government announces, it is also implemented on the ground. Describing women as the strongest link of the family and society, the Chief Minister said that they fulfill the responsibilities of the entire family without worrying about themselves.

Nari Vandan Adhiniyam: Targeted on Congress regarding women’s reservation

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought the Nari Vandan Act with the aim of giving more opportunities to women in political representation. He alleged that opposition parties opposed this law, which hindered the rights of women. He said that Prime Minister Modi has taken many important steps to strengthen democracy and empower women, the benefits of which are being benefited by women across the country.

Announcements in education and health sector

  • Sandipani Vidyalaya will be established in Kesli.
  • Chirchita High School will be upgraded.
  • Government High School Deori will be upgraded.
  • A modern hospital with 100 beds will be built in Deori.
  • Arts and Commerce faculty will be started in Deori Government College.

Promotion of irrigation and agricultural development

  • A new reservoir will be built in Kesli block at a cost of Rs 563 crore.
  • The irrigation area in the state has been increased from 44 lakh hectares to 65 lakh hectares.
  • A target has been set to take it to 100 lakh hectares in the next two and a half years.
  • A special agricultural market for garlic and onion will be developed in Deori.
  • Agricultural produce market Kesli will be named after Queen Avantibai Lodhi.

Urban development and expansion of religious places

  • It was announced to give the status of Nagar Panchayat to Gourjhanwar Panchayat.
  • The process of making Kesli a Nagar Panchayat will be taken forward.
