Kangana Ranaut is all set to feature in the next film, in which she is playing the role of a nurse. Her upcoming film is based on the struggle of Cama Hospital workers after terrorists struck in the city during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. In a recent interview, Kangana opened up about her parents’ reaction after watching her intimate scenes in the first film, Gangster. The actress also confessed that her parents’ views changed about her profession after she was honoured with the Padma Shri and National Award.
Kangana Ranaut On Parents’ Reaction To Gangster
made her acting debut with the 2006 film, Gangster. She was just 19 at that time and shared screen space with Emraan Hashmi and Shiny Ahuja. In a recent conversation during the promotions of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, the Manikarnika actress revealed that her parents didn’t like intimate scenes with Emraan Hashmi and Shiny Ahuja in her first film, Gangster.
Kangana’s parents’ were not okay with her career in films. She revealed that her mother was disturbed by the bold scenes in Gangster and father didn’t even respond to her question after watching the film.

The Queen actress said that she asked her mother about the film, she said that she didn’t understand anything. In fact, Kangana’s mother questioned her for doing such scenes at such a young age. Her mother’s comment left Kangana Ranaut heartbroken. She said that her parents’ were worried about social judgement. Since then, she decided not to expect any review from her parents about her films.

However, things changed after a few years. She revealed that her parents were very happy when she won her first national award for the film, Fashion. They consider the National Award and Padma Shri honour from the President of India were the biggest turning points of her career.
Kangana Ranaut has witnessed a lot of drama in her personal life before and after becoming an actress. Now, she is gearing up for her upcoming films, including Queen 2 and Tanu Weds Manu 3.
Coming back to Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, the film also stars Smita Tambe, Girija Oak Godbole and others in key roles. Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film is slated to release in theatres on June 12, 2026. It will clash with Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga. Stay tuned for more updates!
