Gujarat New DGP: Gujarat gets new police boss, know who is IPS officer IPS Gyanendra Singh Malik? Beginning of new innings in Gujarat Police, will the situation change?
Gandhinagar (Gujarat): 1993 batch IPS officer Gyanendra Singh Malik has been made the new Police Chief of Gujarat. Till now Malik was holding the post of Police Commissioner of Ahmedabad city. The Gujarat Home Department issued a notification on June 6 appointing him as the new Director General of Police and Inspector General of Police (DG & IGP) of the state.
How much salary will the new DGP of Gujarat get?
- According to the official order, Malik has been appointed to the vacant cadre post. They will get a salary of Rs 2,25,000 (fixed) under Apex Scale Level 17. This appointment has come into effect with immediate effect.
- Gyanendra Singh Malik is a 1993 batch officer of Gujarat cadre. Before his new responsibility as the state police chief, he was the police commissioner of Ahmedabad city.
Who is the new police boss of Gujarat?
Let us tell you that police officer Malik, originally from Haryana, has the image of a dashing officer. While being Ahmedabad CP, he had led the state’s biggest anti-encroachment operation on Chandola Lake, which was a stronghold of illegal Bangladeshis. Due to which the entire Chandola Lake area was evacuated in bulldozer action. Apart from this, when Malik was Bharuch SP, he had forced the arrest of powerful MLA Chhotu Vasava. He was on deputation to BSF before becoming Ahmedabad Police Commissioner.
Youth got government jobs in the state
Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel distributed appointment letters to newly recruited youth in the state’s Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department during an event in Gandhinagar on Tuesday.
This was a symbolic programme, in which appointment letters were given to 21 youth. Overall, 415 youth across the state have been selected for the post of Agriculture Assistants and appointment letters have been sent to them through email.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister asked the youth who got government jobs to encourage the farmers to reduce the use of fertilizers and adopt natural farming. He said that this is an important responsibility to carry forward the message of self-reliance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
