According to the order issued from Bhopal, major action has been taken at the administrative level after the firecracker factory accident in Dewas district. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has suspended SDM Sanjeev Saxena, Naib Tehsildar Ravi Sharma and SDO (Police) Deepa Mandve. During the suspension, SDM Sanjeev Saxena and Naib Tehsildar Ravi Sharma have been attached to Dewas Collector Office. Meanwhile, SDO Deepa Mandve has been sent to the police headquarters in Bhopal. The government has also issued orders for suspension of these three.

According to the order of the Divisional Commissioner, SDM Sanjeev Saxena and Naib Tehsildar Ravi Sharma of Tappa Chidavad, Tehsil Tonkhurd showed serious negligence and indifference in the discharge of their duties. This major incident happened due to irregularities on the part of both the officers. This has been considered in the category of indiscipline and misconduct. For this reason both were suspended with immediate effect.

In the order issued by the Home Department, it was told that on May 14, many people died and many were seriously injured in the explosion in the firecracker factory located in Tonkhurd tehsil of Dewas. SDO (Police) Deepa Mandve is accused of not inspecting the factory operations from time to time. Also, the report was not even sent to senior officials. The government has considered this as gross negligence towards duty, due to which he was also suspended with immediate effect.

CM had given assurance of action

After the accident on May 14, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the accident. He expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and also announced financial assistance. The government has announced an assistance amount of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased. The Chief Minister also gave instructions to investigate the incident and orders were given to send senior officials to the spot.
