Schemes should be implemented effectively with public participation: CM Saha
Agartala (Tripura) [भारत]July 14 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday said the public welfare programs of the state government should be implemented more effectively by ensuring active participation of the public and increasing public awareness.
Dr. Saha said, “Every district administration and every department should take the positive initiatives and development works of the government to the common people. Also, all other departments including security administration, district administration, health, education etc. should fulfill their respective responsibilities through mutual coordination.”
Chief Minister Manik Saha said this to officials of various departments including the district administration during the meeting of Task Monitoring System held through video conference in Conference Hall No. 2 of the Secretariat. The Chief Minister said that the main goal of every public welfare program of the government is the overall development of the people. “Therefore, officials at every level of the administration should play a more active role in increasing public awareness by maintaining close contact with the people. Apart from informing the common people about various developmental and people-oriented projects of the government, coordination between departments should be further strengthened,” he said.
Give top priority to public interests
At the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that the interests of the common people be given top priority while implementing development works. He said that citizens should not face any inconvenience due to any development project. In this regard, he directed the concerned departments to strictly follow the prescribed norms.
Review of health and education system
Saha also inquired about the condition of various district hospitals of the state. He gave necessary instructions especially regarding the smooth functioning of the Pediatric Department of Kumarghat Hospital. He inquired about the current situation of malaria and various non-communicable diseases in Dhalai district and stressed on organizing public awareness programs in this regard. He also gave necessary instructions whether the services of primary health centers were being operated properly.
The Chief Minister inquired about the educational environment in schools, quality of teaching and effectiveness of mid-day meal services. Emphasizing on maintaining the quality of these services, he gave instructions to the concerned officials accordingly.
Instructions on social security and tourism also
He advised the concerned departments to take necessary measures to ensure timely payment of allowances to the beneficiaries under various social security schemes.
The Tripura CM also urged the District Magistrates to conduct regular field inspections and monitoring of various tourist centers in the state to keep them clean and attractive. (ANI)
