Chandrababu Naidu scared of MAVIGAN, changing the definition of Amaravati: YSRCP. Ysrcp Alleges Naidu Changing Amaravatis Definition Due To Mavigan

YSRCP has accused CM Naidu of changing the definition of Amaravati out of fear of the emergence of the MAVIGAN area. Spokesperson Bharat said that Naidu is creating confusion among the public by calling Vijayawada-Guntur a part of Amaravati.

Naidu cornered over definition of Amaravati

Rajamahendravaram (Andhra Pradesh) [भारत]July 29 (ANI): YSRCP national spokesperson and former MP Margani Bharat on Wednesday alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, fearing the emergence of MAVIGAN (Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur) as a strong growth area, is changing the definition of Amaravati to create confusion among the public. Addressing the media at the party office in Rajamahendravaram, Bharat said Chandrababu has now started claiming that Vijayawada and Guntur are part of Amaravati, although both the cities are geographically separate from the capital region, according to a release.

He questioned how Amaravati could be compared with cities that are located away from the designated capital region. He said unlike MAVIGAN, Amaravati neither has a population of millions nor the infrastructure of ports, an international airport, railway stations, national highways, medical colleges and universities. He said MAVIGAN already has a population of over 45 lakh and world-class connectivity, making comparisons misleading.

Bharat also asked Chandrababu to disclose if Vijayawada and Guntur are indeed considered part of the capital region then how much was actually spent on their development during his seven-year tenure. He further said that Machilipatnam, with its strategic port potential, should also be included in the development vision of the state, the release said.

Challenge to debate on Mega DSC rigging

In an open challenge to state education minister Nara Lokesh, Bharat said he was ready for a public debate on the alleged mega DSC irregularities. According to the release, he said Lokesh is free to choose the place and time, and asserted that YSRCP will prove the allegations related to the DSC paper leak, sports quota recruitment process and the role of an outsourced computer operator who allegedly secured the first rank.

Clarification sought on Tata Power Project

Bharat also sought clarity from the state government on reports of the 10 GW Tata Power project proposed for Nellore being shifted to Odisha. He urged the government to put the facts before the public instead of taking credit for the projects started during the previous YSRCP government. (ANI)
