Two huge boxes full of currency notes were recovered from that cupboard. These boxes were filled with innumerable wads of ₹100 and ₹500 notes, the total value of which was estimated at Rs 1 crore. However, due to being closed for a long time, a large part of this black money was licked by termites. The opposition directly alleges that this huge amount is part of illegal extortion and corruption in the name of college admission. But the series of shocking discoveries did not stop here; A loaded revolver (gun) wrapped in a black packet was also found in a corner of the same room, which was later seized by the police after reaching the spot.

As soon as the news of the recovery of guns and huge cash spread, an intensive search of the entire college campus was conducted. Two luxurious semi-furnished AC bedrooms were found on the rooftop and hidden paths of the college, which were fully equipped with expensive mattresses, bedding and attached bathrooms. According to Bengali daily ‘Sangbad Pratidin’, these rooms were opened in the name of “Terrace Facilities” during the previous Trinamool Congress (TMC) government.

Mystery of closed room: Union room opened after a year
It was not just about the rooms; A huge quantity of condom packets were recovered from the students’ common room and dozens of empty and filled liquor bottles were recovered from the college terrace. The college administration made very serious allegations and said that these secret rooms were used by powerful TMC leader Debashish Bandyopadhyay (known as ‘Kankata Debu’ in the area) and his son Shibashish. Not only this, the younger employees of the college were forced to massage these leaders by threatening them.
