Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away in April 2026 after prolonged illness. Her death news left everyone in shock as the singer’s demise turned out to be the big loss for Indian cinema. Before her death, Asha Tai had recorded her last feature song, Ae Meri Zindagi for the film Om Ka Hari. Now, the makers have decided to release Asha Bhosle’s last song on a very special day, i.e., her 93rd birth anniversary (September 8). In a recent interview, Om Ka Hari actor Anshuman Jha confirmed about the development and said that having the veteran late singer’s voice in his film is like a blessing for him.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Anshuman Jha expressed his feelings about having ’s song titled Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan. He said, “Om Ka Hari is deeply special to me because, at its heart, it is about the importance of saying ‘I love you’ to your father, something I never got the chance to do. To have Asha Ji’s voice carry the song that represents the catharsis of the film is one of the most profound and memorable moments of my life as an artist. Being in the studio with her was pure joy and contentment. I only wish she were here in person to celebrate this moment with us. But I know she is always with us—in spirit, in her music, and in every life her voice continues to touch.”

For the unversed, Asha Bhosle recorded the song back in 2023 when she was 90. She infused her magic with her voice. The film is directed by Harish Vyas.   focuses on the father-son relationship.

When asked about Asha Bhosle’s song, the director said, “Launching the song on her birthday is intended as a celebration of Asha Ji’s timeless voice, her immense legacy and the generations of listeners whose lives her music has touched.”
