Arvind Kejriwal E20: The political debate regarding E20 petrol has once again intensified in the country. National President of Aam Aadmi Party and former Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has raised questions on the E20 policy of the Central Government, claiming that due to its use, many vehicle owners are facing technical problems, low mileage and increasing repair costs. He also met some vehicle owners and car mechanics in Delhi and shared their experiences.

Targeted at central government, demand for review of E20 policy
Sharing the video, Kejriwal said that he saw many such vehicles in Delhi which were claimed to have malfunctioned after using E20 petrol. He alleged that mere press conferences and TV interviews will not change the problems on the ground and the government should stop imposing E20 on people.
He said that the middle class, which was already facing inflation, is now feeling additional financial pressure due to increasing maintenance cost and decreasing mileage of vehicles. According to him, the government should re-evaluate the impact of this policy.
Demand for comprehensive discussion with experts and vehicle companies
The former Chief Minister said that if any government policy is imposing additional economic burden on common citizens, then its review is necessary. He suggested that the government should hold extensive discussions with vehicle manufacturing companies, automobile experts, mechanics and consumers regarding E20 petrol, so that appropriate decisions can be taken after assessing the actual situation.
However, the central government says that the objective of ethanol blended fuel is to reduce dependence on petrol, reduce pollution and strengthen energy security. In such a situation, amidst the ongoing debate regarding E20 petrol, there is a possibility that political and technical discussions on this topic will continue in the future.
