Musician Anand Raj Anand, who ruled the hearts of music lovers with his superhit songs in the 1990s and 2000s, is once again in the headlines. After giving music in the recently released ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, he has made many big revelations about his upcoming projects. In an interview, Anand Raj Anand told that he will soon be giving music in Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan’s new comedy film. Apart from this, he also shared interesting anecdotes related to his hit pairing with director Sanjay Gupta, possible ‘Kaante 2’ and memorable songs from the film ‘Bichchu’.
Big reveal on Akshay Kumar’s next film
Anand Raj Anand told that ‘Welcome’ (2007) was his first film with Akshay Kumar and now after ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ he is also working in the actor’s next film. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, he said, “Yes, ‘Welcome’ was our first film. After this ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ came. Now I am also working on his next film, which also stars Vidya Balan. It is being directed by Anees Bazmee.” According to reports, Raashi Khanna, Vijay Raj and Sudesh Lahiri will also be seen in important roles in this film. The film is being produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations and is planned to release on 4 December 2026.
Big hint given regarding ‘Kaante 2’
Anand Raj Anand, remembering his long collaboration with director Sanjay Gupta, said that he has worked with him on about 20 songs in five films. He said, “With Sanjay Gupta, I gave the biggest hit songs. Our songs even made action films into musicals. Songs like ‘Unke Nashe Mein’, ‘Laila’, ‘Mere Yaar’, ‘Ishq Samandar’, ‘Maahi Ve’, ‘Jaane Kya Hoga’, ‘Yaar Mangiasi’, ‘Pyaar Aaya’ and ‘Ishq Kabhi Kario Na’ are still remembered. This has been a historic pair and will work together in future too. Recently Sanjay Gupta ji told that he is working on the script of ‘Kaante 2’, so we will come together again soon.
‘Kaante’ changed the music trend of Bollywood
Anand Raj Anand believes that the music of ‘Kaante’ introduced a new sound in the Hindi film industry. He said, “We worked very hard on the music of this film. The film was based in Los Angeles and its entire technical team was also from Western countries. Sanjay Gupta had said in the beginning that we wanted a new sound of global standard.” He further added, “You must have noticed that the music sound of the industry changed after ‘Kaante’. This film proved that emotional music can be enhanced with electronic technology, without turning it into noise.”
Interesting story behind the song ‘Jeevan Mein Jaane Jaana’
Anand Raj Anand also shared an interesting story regarding the popular song ‘Jeevan Mein Jaane Jaana’ from the film ‘Bichchu’. He told, “The tune of the song was ready. I was sitting with my brother Harry Anand. We composed a line – ‘Jeevan mein jaane jaana, ek baar hai hota pyaar’. If you notice, this same line is repeated four times in the mukhda.” He further said, “I narrated this song to director Guddu Dhanoa and asked if I should change the lyrics. He said, ‘Don’t change even a single line.’ I said that the entire line in this is only one. He replied, ‘Let it be what it is. There is no need to add anything else to this.'”
