The franchise enters into its third phase in 2026 with Mohanlal returning as Georgekutty in . Scheduled to release on the superstar’s birthday, that is, May 21, a section of the audience is keen to know whether Mollywood and Bollywood’s leads would meet in the Drishyam universe. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Abhishek Pathak, who ventures into the Malayalam industry with Panorama Studios, revealed whether this crossover would ever be possible.

Talking to Zoom exclusively, Abhishek paused for a brief second and clarified that and Ajay’s collaboration wasn’t possible in Drishyam 3, but soon, there will be good news. “Not this time, but maybe some time later. We might come up with something, but not right now,” he said.

Speaking of venturing into Malayalam cinema and backing Drishyam 3, Abhishek added, “Bollywood is our home zone. Malayalam is something which we really got excited. People are appreciating the content created, especially in Malayalam. That is what excited me to create content here as well. That is when I decided to go to Kerala, set up a studio there, and we started meeting writers, directors and others. I think this is experimental cinema. That is what I prefer to do, and we will with our past movies.”
All about Drishyam 3 Malayalam
Drishyam 3 follows the story of Georgekutty and his family, who come under suspicion after the son of a senior police officer goes missing. The first part was released in 2013, while the second part came out in 2021. It was remade in many languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Drishyam Hindi franchise
The Hindi version of the Drishyam franchise stars Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. The first part was directed by Nishikant Kamath. Abhishek Pathak took over after his death. Drishyam 3 Hindi releases on October 2 this year.
According to reports, the Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 has been mounted on a Rs 100 crore budget. The film has been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a U/A 13+ certificate ahead of its theatrical release.
