If reports are to be believed, director Rahul Rawail had first approached Anil Kapoor to play the lead role in this film, but he had refused to do the film. He said that this movie would be a flop. After this, Shahrukh Khan’s entry was made.

The film Anjaam was the first film of Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit together, after which both were seen together in films like Koyla, Dil To Pagal Hai, Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam, Devdas. Well, very few people know that earlier Rekha was cast in this movie instead of Madhuri. Director Rahul Rawail had made the film Anjaam with a budget of Rs 2.65 crores and it did a business of Rs 9.66 crores at the box office. Sudha Chandran, Tinnu Anand, Johnny Lever, Beena Banerjee, Kiran Kumar, Kalpana Iyer and Himani Shivpuri were in lead roles in the film along with Madhuri-Shahrukh.

The songs of the film Anjaam Badi Mushkil Hai Khoya Mera Dil Hai.. and Chane Ke Khet Mein.. were very popular. Let us tell you that the song is very difficult… it was written for the film Dil. However, director Inder Kumar rejected it. Shahrukh Khan has bought the rights of this film under his production house Red Chillies Entertainment.
