Stocks to Watch Today: HCL Tech, Tata Elxsi, Aurobindo Pharma and more in focus

Kolkata: Powered by global cues and a hope that the Us-Iran war will be over shortly, the stock market moved up significantly on Tuesday, April 21. BSE Sensex closed at 79,273.33, up 753.03 points or 0.96%, while Nifty 50 ended the session at 24,576.60, up 211.75 or 0.87%. Several stocks will be in focus today due to a lot of reasons including Q4 results, announcements like share buybacks, entering major deals and winning major contracts. Let’s have a look at these shares.

Q4 results today

Several prominent companies will be announcing their Q4 results for January-March quarter today. These include SBI Life Insurance Company, Tech Mahindra, Trent, Bharat Coking Coal, Delta Corp, Havells India, L&T Technology Services, Maharashtra Scooters, Oracle Financial Services Software, Sangam India and Tata Communications.

Stocks in focus

HCL Technologies: The company announced Q4FY26 results on April 21. It reported a 4.2% rise in PAT to Rs 4,488 crore compared to Rs 4,307 crore in the same period a year ago and the rise in revenue was 12.3% which rose to Rs 33,981 crore against Rs 30,246 crore in Q4FY25. The dollar revenue rose 5.3% to reach $3,682 million compared to $ 3,498 million. EBIT rose 3.3% to Rs 5,620 crore compared top Rs 5,442 crore in Q4FY25. The company’s board of directors has declared dividend of Rs 24 per share.

Tata Elxsi: Its PAT jumped 27.8% to reach Rs 220.4 crore against Rs 172.4 crore in Q4FY25. Revenue rose 9.4% to Rs 993.8 crore against Rs 908.3 crore in Q4FY25. The board announced a dividend of Rs 75 per share for FY26.

Persistent Systems: Q4 PAT surged 33.7% to reach Rs 529.3 crore against Rs 395.8 crore in Q4FY25 and revenue jumped 25.1% to Rs 4,055.9 crore against Rs 3,242.1 crore. EBIT jumped 30.4% to reach Rs 659.2 crore compared to Rs 505.3 crore in the same period a year ago. The margin rose from 15.58% in Q4FY25 to 16.25%. The board declared a dividend of Rs 18 per share for FY26.

Sunteck Realty: The Q4FY26 PAT surged 24.7% to reach Rs 62.8 crore against Rs 50.4 crore in Q4FY25 and revenue soared 64.5% to Rs 339 crore against Rs 206 crore.

Aurobindo Pharma: It has decided to buyback of 54.23 lakh equity shares worth Rs 800 crore at a price of Rs 1,475 per share. The process will start on April 23 and close on April 29.

BEML: This PSU has secured an order from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of trawl assemblies, with a contract value of Rs 590 crore.

HDFC Life Insurance Company: Vibha Padalkar reappointed by the board as MD and CEO HDFC Life for a period of five years, effective September 12, 2026.

State Bank of India: As many as eight officials of SBI have been promoted to deputy managing director. They are Amit Verma, Debasish Mishra, Dipak Kumar De, Niraj Kumar Panda, Ratna Teja Dinakara Akella, Sahadevan Radhakrishnan, Sukhvinder Kaur Ganesh and Varinder Khanna effective April 21, 2026.

PNC Infratech: It has become the lowest bidder for two HAM-based national highway projects worth Rs 3,483 crore.

Hindustan Zinc: Its board of directors will meet on April 24 to consider the standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4FY26. It will also consider declaration of the first interim dividend, if any, for FY27.

Karnataka Bank: It has entered into a strategic partnership with Pine Labs, which is a provider of point-of-sale solutions in order to bolster digital payment options for its customers.
