Abhijeet Deepke News: There was a tense atmosphere around the Parliament House in Delhi on Monday when supporters of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) started protesting and moving towards the Parliament. After clashes between protesters and police, tear gas shells were fired and several people were detained. Meanwhile, CJP claimed that its leader Abhijit Deepke has been detained from Jantar Mantar, while Delhi Police has denied this claim.
Protestors reached near Parliament, security arrangements tightened
During the demonstration, a large number of supporters reached close to the Parliament House. Some protesters tried to cross the security cordon, following which the security of the Parliament was immediately increased and the main entrance was closed. Police fired tear gas shells to control the crowd, after which the protesters dispersed. At that time many MPs including the Prime Minister were present inside the Parliament.
Earlier in the morning, some protesters had reached Rajiv Chowk and Mandi House metro stations. At the same time, some people crossed the barricades and reached around the Parliament Street police station, after which the police detained many people.

Claims and counter-claims on the custody of Abhijeet Deepke, Kejriwal appealed
CJP alleged that Abhijeet Deepke has been detained from Jantar Mantar. However, Delhi Police clarified that the matter of detaining Abhijeet Deepke is not correct.
On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal released a video message on social media platform X and appealed to the central government to listen to the protesting youth. He said that instead of lathicharge or use of force, the path of dialogue should be adopted.

Allegations from both sides, different claims regarding the injured
After the demonstration, both sides have made serious allegations against each other. CJP claims that during the police action, Geetanjali ji was beaten up, her hair was pulled and 40 to 50 people including a 12-year-old girl were injured.
At the same time, Delhi Police says that the protesters pelted stones near the barricades, in which a sub-inspector was injured. According to the police, the detained people have been taken to different places so that they cannot gather again and affect law and order. Besides, their background will also be checked.
