Meta is creating an advanced 3D AI avatar of its CEO Mark Zuckerberg. It will not only look like him, but will also talk in his voice. Its purpose is to give employees the experience of direct access to the CEO.
California: The world’s largest tech company Meta is creating an advanced 3D avatar of its CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), this avatar will not only look like Zuckerberg but will also talk like him. India Today, quoting the Financial Times, reports that this project is part of Meta’s new strategy to focus on AI. Mark Zuckerberg himself had earlier said that the company is moving towards the idea of ’Personal Superintelligence’.
The voice and style of talking will be like that of Mark Zuckerberg.
This AI avatar will not only be Zuckerberg’s lookalike, but it is being designed in such a way that it can also copy his way of talking, voice inflection and body language. This system is being trained on the basis of Zuckerberg’s public speeches, interviews, voice recordings and his recent thoughts.
According to reports, Mark Zuckerberg himself is directly involved in the training and testing of this digital avatar. This project has been designed in such a way that even when Zuckerberg is not present in the office, employees can ask questions and get answers from this AI avatar. The company says its goal is to make employees feel like they have direct access to the CEO.
Meta’s new ‘Superintelligence Labs’ is leading this project. The main work of this lab is to create AI characters that look like real humans and can interact in real-time. Superintelligence Labs is using powerful computing systems to reduce conversation delays and ensure natural movement and sound.
To improve voice technology, Meta had bought companies like Play AI and Waveforms last year. The aim is to use their technology to create a more realistic sound. Additionally, Meta plans to extend this AI technology to content creators and influencers later. For this, the existing AI Studio platform will be made bigger.
Meanwhile, the company is also building another AI system named ‘CEO Agent’ to help Mark Zuckerberg. According to the Wall Street Journal report, this system will help Zuckerberg to gather information faster and take decisions.
Meta is encouraging its employees to use AI tools in their daily work. Reports suggest that Mark Zuckerberg himself spends 5 to 10 hours every week on AI projects and coding. In view of the increasing competition in the field of AI, these steps of Meta are being seen as an attempt to take the company to a new level.
