Why is Hardik Pandya playing with plastic ball? This is the condition of Team India’s star right now

The increasing cases of injuries among the players of Team India have raised concerns. Players like captain Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah and Harshit Rana have been injured in recent times. Especially the injuries of players like Harshit and Washington Sundar have created a lot of tension. But amidst all this, the most uneasiness and curiosity is still regarding the fitness of star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who has been out of action since IPL 2026. A report has revealed that Hardik’s fitness is improving and he is practicing hard in Bengaluru to improve his ability.

According to a report by RevSports, Hardik Pandya, who has been living in Bengaluru for some time, is continuously working on his fitness by staying in BCCI’s ‘Centre of Excellence’ (CoE). For this he is bowling almost 12 overs every day. It has been told in the report that Hardik practices for about 3-4 hours every day in the evening and his biggest focus in this is to gradually increase his bowling workload, so that he is fully prepared when returning to the team.

But the most important and somewhat surprising decision of Hardik in this practice is batting in front of plastic balls. It has been told in the report that Hardik is practicing batting in front of plastic balls on tiles or concrete floor. Actually the reason for this is that Hardik wants to improve his batting reflex. On such floors, the plastic ball often comes very fast, due to which the batsman gets less time to react. Keeping this in mind, Hardik is doing these exercises, so that his reaction speed becomes faster.

After being out of the field for a few days after the IPL, Hardik Pandya got injured again, due to which he was ruled out of the Afghanistan ODI series. After this, Hardik again went to Bengaluru and started practicing. Not only this, Hardik has decided to leave Mumbai and settle in Bengaluru to take full advantage of the facilities of CoE and to spend maximum time there for preparations. Hardik will stay here for the coming few years.
