Ranveer Singh visited the famous Chamundeshwari temple in Mysuru on Tuesday morning amidst the ban action taken by the Federation of Western Cine Employees i.e. FWICE. The visit took place following the Karnataka High Court’s direction, which is related to the ‘Kantara’ mimicry controversy. Meanwhile, FWICE has also issued non-cooperation instructions and taken banning action against the actor for being out of ‘Don 3’. It was told that due to Ranveer leaving ‘Don 3’, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar suffered a loss of around Rs 45 crore.
Ranveer Singh visited Chamundeshwari temple after court instructions
According to reports, Ranveer Singh performed special puja at Chamundeshwari temple. The actors stood in line like common devotees and came for darshan. He also removed his mask before entering the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. It was told that the actor arrived without any fanfare and took the blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari.

What is the whole controversy of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Kantara’ mimicry?
The entire matter is related to the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India held in Goa in November 2025. Ranveer Singh had mimicked the Daiva scene of Rishabh Shetty’s film ‘Kantara’, after which a controversy started on social media. Ranveer later apologized and wrote, “My aim was to highlight Rishabh’s brilliant performance in the film. If my words have hurt anyone’s sentiments, I sincerely apologize.” Rishabh Shetty responded by saying, “The Daiva element is extremely sensitive and sacred. I appeal to people to avoid repeating it on stage or making fun of it.”

FWICE bans Ranveer Singh in ‘Don 3’ controversy
After the ‘Don 3’ controversy, FWICE had instructed its members and technicians not to work with Ranveer Singh. Meanwhile, a statement was issued by Ranveer Singh’s team in this matter, which said, “Ranveer always has respect and goodwill towards all people. His focus is only on his work and future responsibilities.”
