The trailer of Sigma, the upcoming action-adventure heist entertainer directed by Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, has been released, offering a glimpse into a high-stakes story of betrayal, crime, revenge and friendship.
Starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead, Sigma is scheduled to release worldwide on October 2. The film is produced by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner.
The trailer reveals that Sundeep Kishan’s character has been betrayed but refuses to let go of what happened to him. Determined to reclaim what he has lost, he takes on a dangerous mission that revolves around a massive Rs 500-crore racket involving drugs and gambling.
The protagonist is also shown to be in love with Sam, an RJ played by Faria Abdullah. With the help of his friends, he plans an ambitious heist, but their operation runs into trouble after Reddy, played by Sampath Raj, disrupts their plans.
Rather than giving up, the protagonist returns with renewed determination, setting the stage for a battle against a series of obstacles as he attempts to complete his mission.
Jason Sanjay appears to have chosen a commercially engaging premise for his directorial debut. The trailer combines action and adventure with humour and emotion, while a mother-son relationship forms an important emotional thread in the story.
Alongside Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah, the film features Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Pandit, Anbu Thasan and Yog Japee in prominent roles.
Mythri Movie Distributors Ltd is handling the film’s release in Coastal Andhra and Telangana, while NVR Cinema will distribute it in the Ceded region.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Krishnan Vasant, whose visuals in the trailer carry a contemporary and stylised look. S. Thaman has composed the music, while National Award-winning editor K.L. Praveen has handled the editing.
With its mix of heist elements, action, comedy and family emotion, Sigma is set to mark Jason Sanjay’s entry into direction on October 2.
