A shocking news has come out from Sri Lankan Cricket during IPL 2026. Two players of Sri Lanka’s Under-19 cricket team have been arrested for filming women bathing in a hotel. This incident happened in a hotel in Narahenpita area of Colombo, where the Sri Lankan Under-19 cricket team was staying. After the matter came to light, there was an earthquake in Sri Lankan cricket. However, the names of the players have not been revealed yet.

According to the police, both these young cricketers were staying in the same hotel with the team. Some women staying in the hotel lodged a complaint that filming was being done with mobile phones in their bathroom. As soon as the complaint was received, Narahenpita police took immediate action and took both the players into custody. Police are also investigating whether these videos have been shared on the internet.
Let us tell you, both the players were produced in the Aluthkade Magistrate Court, where they have been released on personal bail. Both the players have been given bail of 5 lakh Sri Lankan rupees (about 1,564 US dollars). At the same time, the next hearing of the case will be on 25th May. But the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has not yet announced any action against these two players.
Sri Lanka Cricket Board is going through a period of change
These days the Sri Lanka Board is going through administrative changes, in which a transformation committee has been formed by removing the old officials. Former MP Aron Wickramaratne has been made the chairman of this transformation committee. At the same time, Kumar Sangakkara’s name is also included in it. Apart from these, Roshan Mahanama and Sidath Vettimuni are also a part of it. In such a situation, this transformation committee can take major action against these two players in the coming days.
