FIFA World Cup 2026: The upcoming Football World Cup 2026 has come under question due to Iran’s war with Israel and America. This tournament will be played in June-July hosted by America, Mexico and Canada, in which 48 teams are going to participate and Iran is also included in it. The FIFA World Cup 2026 will run from June 11 (June 12 in India) to June 19. According to the schedule, Iran’s team has to play its matches in America. FIFA President Gianni Infantino has made a big announcement saying that Iran’s team is going to participate in the World Cup 2026. During the FIFA Congress held in Vancouver, Infantino started his address by clearly saying that Iran will not only play in the tournament but its matches will also be held in America. He stressed that football is a medium to unite people and Iran deserves to participate in the World Cup on its own merits.
Let us tell you, Iran had qualified for the 2026 World Cup as the top team of Group A in the third round of Asian qualifying. This will be the fourth consecutive time that Iran is playing in the World Cup. For this tournament, Iran has been placed in Group G along with Belgium, Egypt and New Zealand. All its group stage matches will be played in America, with two matches scheduled in Los Angeles and one in Seattle. Iran had demanded a neutral venue for the matches in America, but FIFA rejected it and decided to stick to the original schedule.

The special thing is that for the FIFA World Cup 2026, there can be a competition between the teams of America and Iran. Actually, if both America and Iran teams finish second in their respective groups, then both the countries can face each other in the elimination match to be held in Dallas on July 3.
