Viral Video of Puja on Moving Train: These days, another video related to Indian Railways is becoming increasingly viral on social media. After ‘Honeymoon Coach’ which was in news recently, now the video of religious worship inside a train is attracting people’s attention. In the video, a priest is seen performing puja as per rituals inside the train, while many devotees present in white clothes are involved in the puja. As soon as the video surfaced, questions started rising in people’s minds whether performing religious rituals like this in a train coach comes within the scope of rules? However, now the Railways has clarified the situation on this whole issue and said that the video is not of a normal passenger coach, but of a privately booked salon coach.

According to Northern Railway, the puja seen in the viral video was conducted inside a special saloon car. This coach was booked on commercial basis through IRCTC. Railways said that this booking was done on July 8, 2026 and for this the party concerned had made an advance payment of Rs 3,08,580. According to the Railways, this saloon car was attached with 12926 Paschim Express from New Delhi to Mumbai for a one-way journey on July 10. What is Salon Coach?

Salon coach is a special and luxury railway coach of Indian Railways, generally used for senior officials, VIP guests or for private bookings. It has many facilities like air conditioned bedroom, drawing and dining area, kitchen, attached bathroom. If needed, it can also be booked for private events or special trips by paying a fixed fee.

Railways also responded regarding security

Northern Railway clarified that there was no impact on railway operations, passenger safety or train punctuality during the incident. Railways said that passenger safety, convenience and safe operation of trains is its biggest priority and no compromise is made in this. The Railways also said that the priest seen in the viral video was only part of a religious ritual and no accident or untoward incident occurred during the entire event. In such a situation, Railways has officially responded to the questions raised regarding the video going viral on social media and has made it clear that this event was organized in a privately booked salon coach as per the rules, hence it should not be seen as an event organized in a normal passenger coach.
