That ‘secret’ order of the High Court and the action plan of Delhi Police
The reason behind this entire incident is believed to be a very important intervention of the Delhi High Court. Just two days earlier, the court had expressed deep concern over Wangchuk’s deteriorating health, saying “the life of any citizen is precious.” The court had directed the authorities to conduct daily clinical examination of the climate activist and provide immediate medical help if needed. According to the last medical bulletin issued by doctors, Wangchuk had lost more than 8 kg of weight due to his continuous fasting and his organs were slowly responding. DCP of Delhi Police posted on ‘X’ and clarified that this action has been taken only under the orders of the Honorable High Court and expert medical advice, so that Wangchuk’s life can be saved.
