One has to undertake a difficult journey to reach the temple of Goddess Vaishno. The court of Mother Vaishno Devi is in a cave built on Trikut mountain in Jammu and Kashmir. To reach here one has to climb a difficult distance of 14 kilometers. It has now become easier to reach here from Delhi because train facility has been started till Katra. Earlier people had to get down to Jammu or catch a train till Udhampur railway station. After this one could reach Katra by bus or personal cab. Even today people use this route but reaching Katra directly is a different matter.

This is a beautiful hill station just 45 kilometers away from Vaishno Devi Temple. It is very much liked for many adventure activities like skiing, trekking and paragliding.
