1. On the day of Vaishakh Amavasya, perform Shraddha, Pind Daan etc. at your home or at any pilgrimage place for the peace of your ancestors.
2. After taking bath in a holy river on Amavasya, donate food, clothes and grains etc. to the needy as per your wish.
3. Call a worthy Brahmin to your home and have him eat food and send him off by giving him alms. This also reduces Pitra Dosh.

4. Take flour, oil, ghee, salt, pulses, rice etc. in a plate and donate it to a Brahmin.
