Vaibhav Suryavanshi is back in form after a poor start in the Tri Nation A Series 2026. Playing for India A against Afghanistan A, he scored an inning of 44 runs with the help of 9 fours in 22 balls in Dambulla.
The special thing about 15 year old Vaibhav’s innings was that his style looked new. The 15-year-old young sensation is called a run-machine of sixes, but today he did not hit a single six in his innings.
The veterans were very happy to see his changing attitude. Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar praised Suryavanshi a lot. He said that his innings was not just a game of power, but the timing was also amazing.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s innings won the hearts of the giants
In fact, R Ashwin praised Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s inning of 44 runs and said that his innings was not just about power, but the timing was tremendous, especially on the cover drive. Ashwin wrote on X,
“Out! But the innings of 44 runs off 21 balls was thoroughly entertaining. There were some well-timed cover drives. We have seen his power, but today’s innings was completely different in power. This boy is an amazing player.”
Manjrekar praised Vaibhav a lot
Manjrekar also praised Vaibhav wholeheartedly and said that he appreciated Suryavanshi’s natural ability to time the ball. Manjrekar further said,
“India A is in Sri Lanka, the pitch here is not as flat as IPL and it is not T20 cricket either. So I am watching Vaibhav Suryavanshi bat in different conditions and I am excited! He is not just a T20 hitter, he can do wonders in ODIs too. He is a special talent!”
