Maruti Suzuki has officially announced that the updated Baleno will launch in India on September 5. Following its major overhaul in 2022, the popular premium hatchback is receiving a timely refresh to strengthen its position in the competitive domestic market.
The vehicle brings evolutionary exterior tweaks rather than a complete ground-up redesign. As per a report by test mule sightings indicate a revised front fascia featuring a sleeker grille with a connecting chrome strip alongside newly designed alloy wheels.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is expected to retain its mechanical foundation, powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 88 bhp and 113 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT option, alongside a factory-fitted CNG variant. Inside the cabin, the layout remains largely familiar with restrained updates including refreshed upholstery and a new colour theme. Key equipment highlights comprise a head-up display, a nine-inch infotainment system with potential upgrades, automatic climate control, an analogue-digital instrument cluster, and a height-adjustable driver seat.
