Vaibha Sooryavanshi will be in action for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 32nd match of IPL 2026 against Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday (April 22).
The opening batter has been playing as an Impact Player. Once again, he might be on the field for just one innings of the game. has played a key role in RR’s success so far. With 246 runs in six matches, Sooryavanshi is RR’s highest run-scorer. Batting with a strike rate of 236.53, Sooryavanshi has hit 20 sixes. He has breached the 50-run mark twice.
Sooryavanshi is on the cusp of history and he can achieve the milestone when RR take on LSG in their seventh game of the season. He is only 53 runs away from the elusive 1000-run mark. He has scored 947 runs in 24 innings.
Should he breach the 1000-run mark against LSG, he will become the joint-fastest Indian batter to achieve this milestone. Presently, Devdutt Padikkal holds this record.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter breached the 1000-run mark in 25 innings. He achieved the milestone in the IPL 2020 game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Padikkal made a dream start to his T20 career and he took only 358 days to score 1000 runs.
Fastest to score 1000 T20 runs
Brad Hodge and Shaun Marsh top the elite list. Both the former Australian batters breached the 1000-run mark in only 23 innings. Matthew Hayden and Czech Republic’s Sabawoon Dazivi share the second spot. They batted 24 innings each to score 1000 T20 runs.

Rajasthan Royals kicked off their IPL 2026 season with a win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). They defeated Gujarat Titans in their second game. RR put on a big total of 150 in an 11-over game against Mumbai Indians and defeated them by 27 runs.
RR registered their fourth consecutive win of the season by defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Once the top-placed team of the season, RR suffered back-to-back defeats in their past two matches and they now sit in the fourth spot. A win over LSG can see them jump to the second spot.
