In a seminar organized in Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that science, research, AI, innovation and new education policy are the strongest foundation for Developed India 2047.

In an important seminar organized on the topic “Mainstreaming Science, Technology and Innovation for a Prosperous Uttarakhand” in Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the dream of Developed India 2047 will come true only when the country makes scientific thinking, research, innovation and modern technologies the cornerstone of development. He said that the Uttarakhand government is continuously taking concrete steps in this direction and the new generation is being prepared according to the technologies of the future.

The Chief Minister said that imbibing the spirit of the mantra given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan”, the State Government is rapidly taking forward the science and technology based development model. He said that science and innovation should not be limited to laboratories only, but should be directly linked to society, education, industry and employment.

Viksit Bharat 2047: Scientific thinking and research become the strong foundation of development

In his address, the Chief Minister said that the resolution of Developed India 2047 is based on scientific approach, research, innovation and modern technologies. If the country and state have to be globally competitive, then science-based thinking will have to be adopted in all sectors like education, industry, agriculture, health and administration. He said that the Uttarakhand government is working considering science and technology not just as an academic subject but as an effective medium of social and economic change.

National Education Policy: New education policy to promote research, startup and innovation

The Chief Minister said that through the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in the state, scientific temper, research culture, innovation, entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem are being continuously encouraged among the students. He said that such changes are being made in the education system so that students are not limited to just getting a degree, but develop new ideas, do research and move towards becoming employment generating entrepreneurs.

Youth are being prepared in AI, Quantum Technology and Advanced Manufacturing

The Chief Minister said that the future economy will be based on modern technologies. Keeping this in mind, the youth of Uttarakhand are being provided modern knowledge and practical skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Technology, Advanced Manufacturing and other emerging technologies. He said that the aim of the government is not only to prepare the youth for jobs, but also to make them capable of innovation-based leadership and global competition.

Government’s emphasis on making Uttarakhand an innovation based economy

The Chief Minister said that without including science, technology and innovation in the mainstream, overall development of any state is not possible. The state government is creating an environment where educational institutions, research institutes, industries and startups together develop new solutions and take Uttarakhand forward towards an innovation-based economy. He expressed confidence that with scientific thinking and extensive use of modern technologies, Uttarakhand will achieve new heights of development and play an important role in building a developed India.

Public representatives and experts were also present in the seminar.

On this occasion, MLA Munna Chauhan and Padmashree Dr. B.K. Experts, scientists, educationists, researchers and other dignitaries from various fields including Sanjay were present. In the program, connecting science, technology and innovation with the mainstream of society and development was discussed in detail.
