Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government is going to organize a special program across the state on May 17 to honor part-time instructors and distribute increased honorarium. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the program in the state level function to be held at Lok Bhavan Auditorium in the capital Lucknow. This program will start at 4 pm.
The government has already decided to increase the honorarium of part-time instructors by issuing a government order. The increased honorarium will be considered effective from April 1, 2026. Under this decision, now symbolic check distribution programs will be organized in all the districts of the state.
Grand felicitation ceremonies will be held in all the districts
Additional Chief Secretary of Basic and Secondary Education Department, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma has issued necessary instructions to all the District Magistrates in this regard. It has been said in the instructions that parallel to the program chaired by the Chief Minister, large scale events should also be organized in every district. The presence of Minister in-charge, MP, MLA, other public representatives, District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer and senior officials of various departments will be ensured in the programs organized at the district level.
Symbolic checks of increased honorarium will be distributed
As per the instructions of the State Government, symbolic checks of increased honorarium will be distributed to part-time instructors in the programs organized at the district level. These checks will be distributed by public representatives. The objective of the government is to recognize the contribution of part-time instructors and encourage them financially. This will also boost the morale of teachers working in the education system.
Instructions given for promotion of the program
District Magistrates have been instructed to publicize the program on a wide scale so that a large number of teachers, part-time instructors and common people can participate in it. The government wants that this event should not be just a formal event but a public participation based felicitation ceremony. Keeping this in mind, cultural programs and addresses of public representatives will also be organized in the districts.

The Education Department has sent detailed guidelines to all the districts to make the program successful. Officials have been asked to ensure that the program is conducted in an orderly and dignified manner.
