CM Yogi Adityanath mentioned improvement in health services, encephalitis control, medical college expansion, women empowerment and poverty alleviation schemes. He said that there has been a comprehensive change in the fields of health, employment and social security in UP.

Lucknow. The Chief Minister clearly said on the health system that for the government, not just announcements but concrete results are the real test. He said that before speaking on any issue it is important to see its consequences. Just talking tall is of no use if change is not visible on the ground. With this in mind, he mentioned in detail the improvements in health services, control of encephalitis, expansion of medical infrastructure and plans for the future health economy.

Encephalitis Control and Health Protection Campaign

Referring to Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, the Chief Minister said that earlier many children used to die due to encephalitis and many districts have seen its difficult phase. He said that earlier governments did not show sensitivity, whereas along with treatment, humanitarian approach is also necessary.

He claimed that due to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the efforts of the state government, encephalitis has been effectively controlled. Like the action against the mafia, the government has also taken strict steps against this disease.

Medical college expansion and growing network of health facilities

The Chief Minister said that work has been done rapidly in the direction of “One District, One Medical College”. The number of medical colleges has increased from 36 to 81 and work on new colleges is going on.

AIIMS operate in Gorakhpur and Rae Bareli, super specialty facilities have been developed in many colleges. Dialysis facility is available free of cost in every district. Crores of golden cards have been issued under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Emphasis has been laid on providing assistance to needy patients without discrimination.

Paramedical recruitment, ambulance services and rural health initiatives

The Chief Minister said that about 42 thousand paramedical staff have been recruited and thousands of appointments have also been made in the medical education sector. Facilities like ICU, digital X-ray, blood bank, oxygen plant have been increased. Chief Minister Health Fairs are being organized in rural areas. Emergency health services have been strengthened with 108 and 102 ambulance services.

Future plans in Pharma, MedTech and HealthTech

The government is increasing investment in areas like AI, genomics, telemedicine and healthtech. Work is going on on Pharma Park in Lalitpur and Medical Device Park in Gautam Buddha Nagar. This is expected to improve the availability and quality of medicines and medical equipment.

Women empowerment and increasing participation in employment

The Chief Minister said that there has been a big change in the participation and self-reliance of women in the last nine years. Earlier the female workforce was 12-13%, which has now reached 36-37%. Programs like employment, pension schemes, self-help groups, BC Sakhi Yojana and Drone Didi are being run for women. There has been improvement in both the areas of women’s safety and employment.

Initiative for women’s employment, security and economic self-reliance

The Chief Minister said that the number of women in the police has increased from 10,000 to 44,000. A large number of women have got government jobs. Now women are working in a safe environment even in night shifts. The government is empowering women through programs like Ujjwala Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Matru Vandana Yojana, Kanya Sumangala and Mass Marriage Scheme.

Divyangjan Welfare, DBT and Social Security Schemes

Disabled persons are being provided facilities like pension, motorized tricycle and e-tricycle. The amount is reaching the accounts directly through DBT so that transparency is maintained. The government has also indicated to increase the pension for destitute women, elderly people and disabled people.

Poverty alleviation, housing scheme and social security extension

The Chief Minister said that the government is working towards the goal of zero poverty. The poor have been linked to housing, ration, pension and employment schemes. He said that lakhs of poor families have got permanent houses and additional assistance is also being given in housing construction.

Comment on cons and comparison of development models

Raising questions on the schemes of the previous governments, the Chief Minister said that earlier the amount of assistance was less and the schemes used to reach a limited section. The present government is implementing schemes on a large scale. He also said that the government is working on the model of satisfaction and not appeasement, so that the benefits of the schemes reach every eligible person.

Claiming multidimensional poverty reduction and inclusive development

The Chief Minister said that crores of people have come out of poverty due to development schemes. The government aims to ensure holistic development with not just economic support but social security, employment and basic amenities. He reiterated that government money belongs to the public and should be used only in the public interest.
