Uttar Pradesh has achieved the leading position in the country in better operation of Ayushman Bharat Scheme and Digital Health Mission. With the expansion of hospital networks, digital services and advanced treatment facilities, patients are getting better and accessible healthcare services.
Lucknow. Yogi government has achieved another major success in the field of health services. Uttar Pradesh has become the leader in the entire country in extending the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Scheme to maximum eligible people and implementing it effectively.
Uttar Pradesh was honored for its excellent governance of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in a two-day brainstorming camp organized by the National Health Authority (NHA) in Pune on April 17 and 18.
Health Department Secretary Ritu Maheshwari and Sachij CEO Archana Verma said that this achievement is the result of continuous efforts to expand health services and strengthen the digital system in the state.
Expansion of Ayushman Bharat Hospital Network (Ayushman Bharat Hospitals UP)
A large network of hospitals has been created in the state under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Currently a total of 6,433 hospitals are associated with the scheme, which includes 3,521 private and 2,912 government hospitals. This figure shows that the government has created a strong framework to provide health services to every section of the society. Due to this, patients are getting better treatment facilities in their own district or nearby areas.
Increased transparency through digital health services (ABDM Digital Health Services)
According to Archana Verma, CEO of Sachij, the facility of HMIS (Hospital Management Information System) is available in many hospitals of the state under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Health Secretary Ritu Maheshwari said that due to this, patients are getting digital and transparent health services. Now information and procedures related to treatment have become easier and faster. In the last one year, the government has given priority to high quality hospitals and included them in the scheme.
Treatment capacity increased due to the addition of big hospitals (Advanced Healthcare Facilities UP)
Recently, 55 big hospitals with 100 or more beds have been linked to the Ayushman Bharat scheme. This has strengthened the secondary and tertiary level health services in the state. Now serious and complex diseases are being treated in a better way than before, which has brought great relief to the patients.
Expansion of Super Specialty Services (Specialized Treatment Services UP)
Yogi government has not only focused on increasing the number of hospitals but also on improving the quality of services. Now advanced medical services like neurosurgery, neonatal care, oncology, radiology, plastic surgery and burn management are being provided in the state. This has reduced the need for patients to go to big cities or other states.
Rural areas got the biggest benefits (Rural Healthcare Benefits UP)
People living in rural and remote areas have benefited the most from these health facilities. Where earlier modern treatment facilities were limited in these areas, now better treatment is easily available through the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Due to this, the financial burden of treatment on the poor and weaker sections has also reduced to a great extent.
