Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha launched ‘Mukhyamantri Minority Upgradation Project 2026’. Its objective is to provide socio-economic upliftment of minority communities. The CM distributed loans for self-employment to the beneficiaries and promised inclusive development.

Agartala (Tripura) [भारत]July 29 (ANI): Taking an important step towards the socio-economic upliftment of minority communities, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday participated in the program of distributing loan assistance to the beneficiaries and inaugurated the ‘Mukhyamantri Minority Unnayan Prakalpa 2026’ at Pragya Bhawan in Agartala. The initiative aims to strengthen financial inclusion and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for members of minority communities across the state through targeted financial assistance and welfare measures.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister reiterated the commitment of the State Government to ensure inclusive growth and equal opportunities for every section of the society. He said the newly-launched ‘Mukhyamantri Minority Unnayan Prakalp 2026’ is designed to empower minority communities by improving access to financial resources, encouraging self-employment and enhancing socio-economic security.

During the programme, Saha distributed loan assistance to selected beneficiaries to enable them to set up or expand income generating activities and improve their livelihoods.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the State Government is implementing various welfare programs with the aim of achieving balanced and inclusive development, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every community without any discrimination.

The event, attended by senior government officials, public representatives and beneficiaries from different parts of the state, is another step in Tripura’s efforts to promote economic empowerment and social inclusion among the minority communities.

Three MoUs signed with NSE

Earlier, the Tripura government on Tuesday signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to strengthen financial literacy, promote entrepreneurship and create a vibrant investment ecosystem in the state.

These agreements aim to improve financial awareness, support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), enhance the skills of government officials and equip youth with knowledge of capital markets and financial planning.

Announcing this development, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said that this partnership is an important step towards ushering in a new era of economic growth through greater access to capital markets. “This strategic partnership will empower our youth, support MSMEs, enhance the capacity of government officials and promote a vibrant investment ecosystem,” the chief minister said in a social media post.
